Configured-to-Order Engineering and Implementation
Every BTI machine starts from one of four proven platforms, the same designs behind more than 14,000 machines and systems shipped since 1968, and is configured to your plant specifications. Configuration starts at the quote and carries through design, build and commissioning: class, tooling, fixtures, measurement, controls and automation are matched to your part and your plant. When you name brand and model preferences, we build them into the configuration. If you have none, BTI selects components based on our experience, your plant location and long-term serviceability. Talk to us about your specific requirements.
What Configured-to-Order Means Here
Your part never has to be made to fit a catalogue model, and the machine never starts from a blank sheet. We start from a proven platform, then configure the tooling, drive system, correction method, controls and automation level around your part drawing, balance specification and required cycle time. Machine designations describe the result — platform, class size, station count and correction type — rather than a shelf item. When a job does need new design, our engineers handle that too. Engineered when it has to be.
The Envelope We Work Within
Across programs, BTI has built solutions for parts weighing from 0.5 lb to over 200,000 lb, at balancing speeds from low-speed through 300,000 rpm, with correction by drill, mill, grind, weld, pierce, rivet and mass-add methods, in manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic multi-station configurations. Balance grades are driven by your part design, not by a fixed machine class.
Your Component Preferences, Honoured
When you specify brands and models — PLC family, drives, sensors, HMI — we build your selections into the configuration so the machine matches what your maintenance team already stocks and already knows. If you have no plant standard, BTI makes the component choices based on your plant location, parts availability and long-term serviceability.
What We Need From You to Start
- Part prints for each model the machine will run
- The balance specification and governing standard
- Required cycle time and production rate
- Sample parts — typically ten of each type ahead of runoff, for debug and acceptance testing
